Do you want to take Chemistry at the University of Cambridge? You will need to take the Natural Sciences route.
Natural Sciences is the framework within which most science subjects are taught at Cambridge. The course offers the biological and physical sciences listed below, and the option to specialise or to study a range of subjects. The Natural Sciences include astronomy, physics, geoscience, chemistry, and biology. Typical entry requirements A*A*A, with both A* in A-Level Science (Chemistry) and Maths.
Chemistry degrees at Durham offer a high level of flexibility. The BSc in Chemistry contains the same core curriculum in Years 1 and 2 as our other chemistry degrees, and you can switch to one of the other degrees up to the end of the second year.

The university has a proud history of pioneering chemistry training and research with practical benefits to society which continues today. The Chemistry department is one of the largest in the UK and activities cover the full range of fundamental theoretical and experimental chemistry, as well as research at chemistry’s interfaces with other disciplines such as materials, engineering, biology and medicine.
Undergraduate courses combine a broad theory basis with a strong practical component. At the postgraduate level and offer a range of multidisciplinary 1-year MRes courses in addition to a vibrant PhD programme.
The Chemistry department is based on two of the College’s campuses: the early years of undergraduate teaching are carried out in South Kensington, while research groups (including undergraduate research projects) are located in the Molecular Sciences Research Hub, which opened in 2018 on the College’s new White City campus.
